Hi,
I am wondering if someone who owns an agricultural land in municipal areas of Mumbai, gets the benefit of being a farmers. i.e.

Does one get electricity rebate by being a farmer?

A friend of mine has 4 acres of land in mudh island and it is a farming land where he grows vegetables but he doesn't get any electricity as a farmer but have to pay the same price as city dwellers, at the moment generator is placed to get water out of well. Which makes a lot of noise and lot of fuel gets wasted, which is really expensive as well.

I thought this might be bit weird as a farmer one should be getting that benefit. What is your experiences friends?

I would really be intersted in finding how to go about getting Agricultural electricity benefit from relaince energy or MSEB.

Can anyone throw some light.
Cheers!
