Hi Mahesh:

Which part of India is best for Banana cultivation.: Gujarat, Tamil Nadu etc...anywhere with Heavy, fertile, alluvial with full organic fertilizer and ample water of less than 800 TDS

How many plants per acre ? 1200

How much expenses per acre for cultivation including cost of tissue culture plants? Avg Rs 12

What is the OUTPUT per acre (average) 40 ton

What price we can by selling ? it fluctuates, but avg Rs. 4/kg

More information? Pl google Sun Agrigenetics and call them up- they are the best supplier of banana plants and have varieties that work in poor soil, and very salty water.

hi
mahesh

any land which absorbs water when irrigated
you can go upto 1000 plants per acre
cost of each plant is approx Rs 12
yeild per plant is average 18 to 25 kgs, this depends on ur involvement if u have cows use cowdung , vemicompost etc and the yeild will be av 22 to 28 kgs do not go beyond
this point
average fertiliser per acre will be rs 3500 for one time and in a year u should use 6 times
and roughly it will be 21,000.00 and labour u add to it
add ur costing and transportation
selling price for G9 variety is Rs 9 to Rs 10.00 per kg
selling price for yellaki is Rs 24.00 and for this u have to support the stem and if heavy wind and rainfall is more this plant variety will fall down
