We are interested to develop a public campus surrounded with four lines of Ashoka trees (botanical name Polyalthia longifolia) . Do you know how much distance one should usually keep between two trees ?

We may need more than 1000 plants . Where one can get them ?

What is the life time for Ashoka trees ?

You are planning to grow at which location.

HI,
Look this Ashoka plant is very effective in reducing the noise and errant sounds along Highways , if your campues is located just right in front .
But also consider growing Bamboo -short variety , which is also a Major player in reducing the outside sounds . You can go around many Nurseries in & around LALBAGH in Bangalore , just a boundary tour around the compund wall of Lalbagh Botanical garden . You will find BEST plants and methods for your Implementation.

But also consider, do not plant this Ashoka trees, if you are intending to plant towards East or North Directions of your property or Campus.
