Asafoetida cultivation in hilly areas

Hi There ,

Does any of you know about the cultivation of Asafoetida ? Is it possible to grow in Kerala ? I have farm land sin high altitude area where we have cool climate ..

Do you have any suggestions for growing trees or fruits in high rise areas ? I heard straberry , Passion fruits would be a good choice , but I dont have the runners available for strawberry .. Please help me in any of tese areas ..
