Agricultural/farm land - Price per acre

Dear all fellow members,

Can you people let me know the price per acre for agricultural/farm land in Cuddalore & Perambalur and nearby districts?

There may be two types:
•Land near Taluk / district headquarters
•Land in interior villages

There are many factors like quality of the soil, water and power facilities, etc in fixing the price.

These factors also can be brought into the picture while discussing the prices.

Even I am searching for this type of data. I had a detailed discussions with different parts of our district and Tiruvannamalai. The land rates are erratic. It varies from place to place. We could not even find a reason for more price for a place.

For example, a village called Nallan pIllai petral, in Gingee Taluk, (villupuram dt), the land price is very hihg. It is near by a big town, neither very good land, no good water supply.

I suggest, that other members who have some knowledge and experience can share their ideas.

I will also add rates of some areas where I have knowledge. This thread can take care of Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Vellore districs.

Land rate in Tamil Naud

The value of land is depend on the business cluster, for examble starts from salem to coimbatore the main business is textile and machinery also soil base is red and adiquite water is available the rate per acre in the interior is above 5 lakhs, within 5 - 10 kms is 50 lack to crore. Dharmapuri Tiruvannamalai are basically agriculture, the minimum rate interior is 3 lakhs. IF u want land between 1lakh to 3 laksh go to virudungar, sivagangai, interier of dindukal and karur, tirunelvelli. but only posts are coming in internet for 100 acrs to 1000 acrs, as far as my knowledge no one has got any transaction. The rate of land per acre (cultivatable) in 2006 is minimum 5000 to maximum 25000/- in Trichy, Dharmapuri, Perambalur, Madurai outter, Sivagangai, Virudunagar, Dindugal and karur outter. I did 180 acrs of land 30 kms distance from Trichy bus stand on the chennai high way at the rate of 12500/- for a chennai buyer Ramachandra Mission in relation. I have travelled around 18 district for cheap agri land. who raised the price to 300000 per acre i don't know, why the price hike even there is no bulk land sale.
