50 acres @ less than 1 lakh needed anywhere near Western Ghats Tamilnadu

We are a group of Natural Farmers looking for 50 acres or more of farmland anywhere along the western ghats in Tamilnadu from Coimbatore to Thriunelveli.

This is not a "get rich" scheme but an experiment to figure out sustainable living and rural development by a bunch of young professionals who have recently quit their mainstream professions to live in a rural settings. So, we are looking for very low cost land (max: 1 lakh/acre). At 1 lakh/acre, we could purchase 50 acres. If the price is lesser, we can increase the acreage accordingly.

We are starting to travel from Coimbatore tomorrow (23rd) and will be covering the path along the western ghats all the way to Thirunelveli over the next 10 to 15 days.

I am into this for the past 12 years. I have travelled almost all the dist of tamilnadu for looking of agriculture land. If u want any help pl feel free to call me. At present i have virgin land about 25 acrs. There is no agriculture activities for the past 10 years. It is suitable for organic agriculture. Because no particulas of pesticides or chemicals in the soil. Even if the traces of chemicals appeared in the land it is some what difficult to go for organic at the first stage itself.

The land details 25 acre Red soild, Harur taluk, Dharmapuri Dist, 15 kms from Morappur railway station. Morappur reachable at 4 hrs from chennai by Rail. 1 kms from NH68 chennai to salem via vellore. 15 kms from 40 kms from dharmapuri connecting Bangalore to Salem NH7. Rate is 2,oo,ooo/ per acre
