30 cents - farm land - need idea and your thought

Hi All,
I have bought recently 30 cents of land near Kelambakam, Chennai. In that my long term goal is to have farm house built in that area. I request all your idea and thoughts to make this as good farm house. Water source is good and i can get the water all around the year without any problem. It was agribulture land but nowadays its not used for any purpose and next to land is there is one lake as well. But I am planning to use water from my own source.

according to vaastu plan your building should be in the South west corner, bore or well at the north or east side , develop pond to grow water plants at the north east side, Plant one or two good grafted mango seedlings, two or four coconut trees, one jack tree and other flowering plants, you can also get advise from an architect.

Dear tezhilselvi,

Since you have stated you want to have a farm house in this place, I assume you are going to build at least 1200-2400 square feet of house.

Leaving aside 2400 sqft, you are left with 10668 sqft which is close to 4 - 4 1/2 grounds.

I suggest you can have coconut, mango, sapota, guava trees. Also you can grow some flowers for beautifying the place.

Or even better, since the IT guys are nearby and if you are interested in making more money, you can have a restaurant along with outdoor activities like volleyball court, a small cricket ground, basket ball etc

I do not know whether you are a IT guy or not, but you can get ideas by visiting "The Farm" nearby Infosys in IT Highway. They also have a website as well.

Thanks for your suggestions....i just wanted to mention here that my plot is not on the old mahabalupuram road, its in between kelambakam to vandalur road (from this road its 2 KMS) its a village wherein still it needs development....its calm village area and still this will take more time to develop. its approximately 10 kms from OMR road.

thanks for your vasthu idea...i will follow the same and let me plant the trees as well by keeping your advice in mind.

any thought on making money using this land. I am ready to spend time for the same. I can manpower as well very easily from the village nearby. At this time, restaurant will not be good choice as its near village and its not in the main road. however i can consider this after 2-3 years surely based on the development i am forseeing in those place.

Hi,

If you looking to make some money on in the form of agriculture then its not much of land, however you can do animal husbandry activities in that place going for a commercial rabbit or quail farm, even better would be duck farming if you have a good lake near your place.
