This land is too hot considering the nearness to city. The land values will be above 15 -25 lacs/acre even if it is dead cheap. You must offer it for developer at right time unless it is in green belt.At this rate it is not possible to do any cost effective farming.
For the time being or if it is in the green belt you can do the farming yourself and earn good money.If you need help technically or financially pl. let me know.
