Well! Mr. Karti, Regarding Rock Dust its Fact that lots of Bucket Bio-Fertilizer's used Rock Dust or Black Clay with just 1% Humic Acid in their Product. Which in the end is not sufficient for High Nutrients requiring Crops espcially all Hybrid Varieties of Vegetables & Fruit Plants. Better use Poultry Manure which is mix with Cowdung or Buffalodung mix with Pond Clay for Better Results in your Field.

We did Field-Trial of Imported Rock Dust from Ireland last year. And found out to be more 'beneficial' for Field-Crops rather than Horticultural Crops. B'coz Soil Application of Rock-Dust can be done upto maximum 1-2 feet deep & not more then that. So Rock-Dust act as a Barrier & Nutrients Absorbent in Soil and it reduces the Leaching effects of Synthetic Salt based Fertilisers like DAP, MOP, CALCIUM NITRATE & UREA from penetrating much deeper then the root level of Field Crops. As Horticultural Crops roots goes much deeper around 6 to 10 feet below the field surface so the Application of Rock Dust on Soil Surface doesn't work as it does in Field Crops. Regds., Firoz Hassan. Dear Karthi,
Believe there is no proven scientific truth in using 'rock dust' as soil supplement for the missing minerals. There are also apprehension (in USA too) that the presence of heavy metals in the dust may give adverse results. Please check with the experts available in the agriculture department of your place to get right advice.

Mr. Aumsairam, I don't think you have any idea of Rock-Dust & its usage. Lots of Rock Dust is there in the Market. But Agriculture Grade is Certified by International Certified Lab in USA, UK & Australia where mining is done of the above. We can Send you the Lab Analysis of Rock-Dust. Regarding usage of Rock Dust our ICAR-(Pusa) had also done Field-Trial of the above & found out to be safe for Soil Application in Indian Soil. Regds., Firoz Hassan. Dear gree17a3,
Thanks for the compliment. My question is, why should farmers be taxed with imported substance when they have their own solution for rejuvenating the soil condition with crop rotation method.

Mr. Aumsairam, Thanks! for ur reply. Well! nobody is forcing anybody to use Rock Dust for Soil Amendment. Its used specially for Horticultural & High-End Crops where Crop-Rotation Method as prescribe by you is not 'enough' to rejuvenate the Soil.

Not rock dust, but can use Volcanic Ash
Mr. Patoleakshay, Its actually Volcanic Ash, but the Commercial Name for Volcanic Ash is Rock Dust. As you know Volcano Lava after cooling down turns into solid rock. Then its "Mined & Crushed" to be used as Natural Fertilizer.
