Hello,
Dar sir/madam.

4 mango trees which are 7 years old are not flowering at all.

All the mango (alphanso)saplings were got from Lalbagh Bangalore and planted in Moodbidri.

The growth of the tree is good and there is enough sunlight.regular maintenance and water during summer is also given .

Please educate me as to how to induce
flowering in these plants.

Hello Sr

Generally the bearing season varies with varieties and spacing adopted.
NAA @ 20 ppm is sprayed at flowering to increase the fruit retention.
During February 0.5% Urea (5 g/lit.) or 1% Potassium Nitrate (10g/lit.) may be sprayed to induce flowering, if trees do not flower by that time.

Application of Paclobutrazol @ 10 g a.i. for non-bearing trees during first fortnight of September will induce flowering and fruitset yield during off years.

Hi madhavbg,

I have read somewhere that 1 litres of buffalo milk and 1 litres of water is combined and sprinkled on the mango tree and this induces the flowering in the mango trees.
