Azolla cultivation procedure
hi friends,
Azolla cultivation is simple.
You need to make rectanuglar/square shaped bowl.
Bottom and borders make it silpaulin or plastic sheet so that water inside should not go bottom or out
Now pour sieved soil and water and put 1 to 2 kg azolla seed. Azolla floats on water. Maintain sufficient water level so that azolla doesnt touch soil.
I am pouring Jeevamritha in water. Azolla multiplies. I take regularly some portion out of it. Wash it, dry it and then feed to animals
If u dont have Jeeamritha, you can use dung.
Problem is azolla smells dung and refuses to eat. You need to wash it multiple time.
During preparation of jeevamritha, most % of cow dung dung small vanishes and reduces labour effort to wash multiple times.
Govt websites recommend regular dose of chemical mineral mixtures instead of dung to avoid the smell.
