Solar power for Bore well motor

Dear all,

We recently purchased a 3.5 Acre agriculture land. Planning to cultivate paddy. Since there is no water supply, planning to go for bore well. It is heard that we can get water in 300 ft. But, unfortunately there is no power supply for this land, and getting power supply is a time consuming process in our area. Hence, thinking of going for alternative power supply, like solar energy. Please let me know if solar power can be used to run agriculture bore well motor. If yes, please let me know how much it will cost and where to approach (contact details if any). And please mention the disadvantages too.

It is difficult to use solar energy to run motor, but again it depends on where are you located???

I have a 4 acre land near Krishnagiri with no electric supply.

We have 4 acres of land with bore well dogged 650ft with 4"water. We want to instal a solar motor to pump water from the bore well. We are located near Bangalore, Karnataka. Pl tell us whether we can use solar energy to pump water from bore well
