I would like to inform you all that, same as Abhinav Club of farmers, yet another group of farmers in Kerala have formed Pineapple Farmer's Association.
They unite and strengthen the pineapple farmers and create awareness about pineapple farming, marketing and other related subjects.

Following is the procedure to join the Abhinav's farmers club
If anybody wants to join the club we give the training after which we start their project. The membership charges are Rs.1000. According to the market we start growing process.
The benefits to a new member are we help in low cost production by organic farming and assist him in supplying the products directly to the consumers.
We help them to avail govt subsidy, loans and on production cost he wiill get 30% profit.

Pineapple Farmers Association gives training in cultivation-planting,manuering,land preparation, sucker selection, weed control, pest and disease management, harvesting,ethepone application etc.How the members interact with each other at Pineapple Farmer's Association? Experts from kerala agriculture university and experienced farmers as resource persons.
Agri input companies and experts from the companies also conduct programmes with PFA.
We also offer consultancy services to farmers and farming companies in other states and abroad.

We are conducting biannual pineapple festivals in which training is given in preparing different dishes and items with the help of pineapple and also we are awarding best pineapple farmer in the state and during this occasion we conduct training programs with the help of experts from kerala agriculture university.Also tell us what are the activities organized by Pineapple Farmers Association?

Any farmer who joins our association they will get latest information abOut cultivation, marketing etc and we will assist them to handle the day to day problems like in getting loans frm banks, subsidies from govt, labour issues.Thanks for the sharing the information.

We are now not in marketing, but in cultivation and selling it to traders and we are planning to start our own marketing division with a smaller group.
We are planning to start an organisation specifically for the cultivation and marketing of VAZHAKULAM PINEAPPLE.
Now farmers get more than Rupees 1.25 lakhs bank loan per acre for pineapple cultivation .that is one of our main achivement.
We train the farmers to get optimum yield and we train farmers to minimize use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

We don't have direct link with consumers, only middlemen do.But some of our big farmers are big wholesale traders too.Usually they give more importance to farming than trading.They try to bring up the price of pineapple.So middlemen exploitation is less in pineapple compared to other products.Thank you for detailed information.

It Is a 50 crore company entirely funded by European Union and with this experience we advice the enquirers.

We are not directly into exporting into any country but we are planning to start in the middle east with the help of govt with the proposed new organisation meant for the development of VAZHAKULAM PINEAPPLE by participating in the coming dubai fest.Thanks for sharing the detailed information.
