There are a lot of high yielding varieties, pungent and non pungent varieties are also available. PLease check out with namdhari seeds, Nunhems seeds for the best suitable variety for your location.

hello i am a farmer growing chilli for the last 10 yrs my advise is dont go for chilli on 7 acres at a strech go for stagered transplanting.

Good! U can grow anything, but can you get nearly 20 labourers for plucking! I have grown chilli in 4 acres & supplied to Yeshwantpur market in Bangalore. I got good returns too. I have very good local variety. If you are inerested please send mail or my no. , when you are going to start, the ideal time is July/Aug thats what we did to get good rate.
