we are in the process of starting a dairy farm in AP. initially we are starting with 80 animals and will expand from there on. we would like to know if there are any particular roofing sheets that needs to be used for the cattle shed construction or what kind of roofing sheets are best suitable for this purpose.

YOu can use roofing sheets for the cattle shed. There are a variety of sheets available based on your cost. Visit the nearby dairy farm for practical knowledge or you can also get information from the nearest Krishi vigyan kendra

Dear Sir,

Since summer is hot in AP where you are establishing dairy farm, one should go for AC Sheets. If you decide to go for GI Sheet roof, then you can cover GI Sheet with grass during summer. But dont use plastic sheets as these do not sustain climatic conditions for more than two years.

Use sandwich type tin sheet (8X4). Good for any climate condition and its worth also.

I recommend that you should use TUFT sheets made of recycled TETRAPACK paper.These sheets are said to be srong,durable,heat repellent and if required can be repaired in situ.

yes tuft sheet is a good option and gives good result as i am using the same, it is only 5 rs more than ordinary sheet and gives pleasourous appearence
