Whats the best method of de-weeding?

What is your major crop? is it with horticulture? if its a mango grove or some kind of horitculture the best possible things to control grass and weeds is to buy a bunch of sheep they will do the job better and also bring in addtional revenue.
If it's not horiculture then metion your major crop to find solutions.

mr antony i m growing acacia mangium on letrite soil in konkan mangaon the spacing is 6x6ft and 8x8 ft can u help me on how to de weed cause i had major fires last year

I have horticultural crops growing on my land like Banana, mango etc. your idea is brilliant but i have young saplings growing too.So your idea cant actually be implemented.
I have heard of weed-burners is this viable? whats the risk facor?

Honda brush cutter is good. It is a 4 stroke petrol engine. It is very good for cutting grass or plants with thin stem. Brush cutter will not remove weed from root. Weeds will grow again.
If you want to remove weed from root, you have to buy mechanised weeder (like manually operated cono-weeder). Tamil NAdu Agri university has developed , I have heard. It is like a mini tiller; can remove weeds from dry or wet lands.

Hi all,
I'm going crazy about the grass and weeds on my farm.Can someone advise me as to which is the best MECHANISED way to adapt as labour is too expensive and not feasible.
Are the ''Brush Cutters'' from Honda company any good?
Any alternate source?

Way back in 2006,we were exactly dealing with the same,we had wild fires and lost around 300 mango seedlings,An elderly man came over and suggested exactly what Mr.Anthony had said,thats how we got into sheep.
If you have young seedlings,make a tree guard out of weaved coconut leaves or you can use the chicken mesh as well.its a one time investment and will last a while.
