Amla tree not flowering

Hi All,

I stay in Pune, Maharashtra. I have a 5 year old Amla tree which has grown quite well and is now nearly 25feet high. Yet it has never borne flowers / fruits. I had taken the sapling from Agriculture college, so I don't think plant-variety is an issue.

Hi

Self incompatibility is a problem in amla, so 2 varieties need to be planted in alternate rows, have you done it?? IF yes then spray gibberillins.

Only traditional wild variety of amla will bear fruit if planted as a single tree. If you have planted a grafted tree then it needs other variants or other amla trees to be in the surrounding in order to get cross pollinated and bear fruit.
