Intercroping Coconut with Banana

I have 12 acrs of land near Tiptur. It has 600 coconut plants, 10 to 12 years old. I am planting G9 banana in between. 1000 saplings. 4.5' x 4.5' x 9' distance. Enough water is there, I will be using drip irrigation system.

I want to know what are the suitable intercrops to plant inbetween banana saplings. Any guidence with be helpful.

Banana is planted as inter-crop , when coconut plants are small, now your plants are 10-12 years old . Since Banana plants requirs sufficient sunlight it is not advisible to plant it now. I would suggest you to plant different types of Spices in between to get more out put of coconut as well as good income from spices.
