Raj, this price amazes me, dear friend
Raj, this price is so amazing, compared to the extortionate prices being asked for land in Punjab.
I am in Uk and when i ask about land prices in Punjab I am being given prices of INR 16-22 lakhs/acre
So one could buy all your land for price of one acre in Punjab.
What is going on?
Either your land is of little use, or people in Punjab are being ripped off. It is absolutely ridiculous to pay something like INR 20 lakhs per acre, when the rental return is only INR 20,000 per acre, or 1% return. Seems some people have too much money and are hell-bent on owning land for sake of being able to say they own x no of acres, even though they are never ever going to use it themselves, and will just own it and rent it out for nominal rental return.
In time the price rises further, so in short term they will definitely make big capital gains, but problem is there has to be a price correction at some time, especially as water will soon be very scarce in Punjab. Water level has been falling at least 8- 10 feet year-on-year, for at least last 8 years. Late buyers who jumped on band wagon of rising prices, will suffer big-time when that price crash comes about. No water = no crops = no value to rural land

If u will compare the price of land situated at U.K. and at Punjab u'll find a very devastating difference.
Same condition is with the lands of Punjab & Rithi.
There is one more reason.The farmers of PUNJAB gets the facility of electricity at a very less cost as compared to RITHI.
