Ms. Minakshi Pandey says “The global rise in human population and swift urbanization with drastic change in climatic condition and ample usage of agrochemicals in agricultural crop practices has been elevated environmental disturbances and public health risks leading to a vast threat in food security and agriculture sustainability. Parallel to this, the agriculture land soils are constantly losing their nutrient quality, biological condition and physical properties due to haphazard use of agrochemicals. Hence, it is crucial that crop productivity should be increased significantly in upcoming years to meet the extensive demand of food for raising population. Chemical fertilizers in industries are manufactured in distorting formulations composed of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and their extensive exploitation causes pollution in air and ground water, land soils. Due to this, to maintain bio-safety present day efforts have been aimed towards the production of nutrient rich crop in sustainable agriculture.”
