Dr. Deepak Kumar is a Research Scholar from Division of Agronomy, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in Jammu. He says for our farmers we need to think about all available technology and resources in terms of their sustainable use as well as need to increase economic status of small and marginal farmers. We have to start with integrated farming system approach and rethink about existing application at our farm. Dr. Deepak Kumar says problems like herbicide resistance, pest resistance and many more are the results of our bad agronomic management practices which not only reduced the farm potential but also increase the burden of loan. Ultimately farmer suicides are seen in our society where more than 50 percent population are dependent on Agriculture.
