Dr . Nagaraja T E is the Professor ( Plant Breeding ) in University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka. Earlier he has coordinated for research project on small millets and presently working on several aspects of crop improvement, conservation and utilization of useful genetic resources of agriculturally important for small millets. He says he has acquired a thorough knowledge in handling molecular markers in characterization of genetic resources of various crops by attending an international training on “Use of molecular markers for characterization of plant genetic resources” at Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China during October 2004. Besides he has been working as investigator for many research projects. As an agriculture scientist with knowledge in the field of molecular biology and with acquired knowledge, skills on managing genetic resources, he has published many articles, obtained awards and trainings etc.
