hey everyone.. im purchasing about 25 acres of decent land in the northeast.. and im wondering how i can make money with this?... i do intend to put wind turbines up to sell the power back to the power company to make more profits from the land... but it wont be much, i need to find out how to make more...

anyway... i had an idea of putting a series of beehives up, and harvesting the honey to sell, or to make into mead to sell.. so i was considering some type of flowering plant to help with the honey, and the bees could help polinate... sort of a symbiotic relationship between the two...

anyway, im not looking to get into corn, or wheat because these type of farms dont seem to be profitable until you get up into the hundreds of acres sizes, so im looking for something thatll perform better on a smaller scale...

what are my options for this size piece of land, and what sort of costs and profits would i be looking at?

havent decided on a piece of land yet.. but the soils pretty good on all of it.. problem is a few of the places im looking at are landlocked, but the surrounding land owners seem nice enough to allow a road to it

Stevia is one of the most profitable crops for the coming future. As the crop is only source of natural sweetner. The people are being less hard worker that why they need calorie free substitute of the sugar. The artificial sweetener are problematic for the long term consumption. In the countries like Japan and Korea stevia sweetener contribute 50% market share.

The stevia crop is propagated by the seedlings. We can provide you the stevia seedling (plants) .You will require the 30,000 seedlings per acre. We provide the complete consultancy from cultivation technology, planting material supply, nutrient management(manure ), water management( drip irrigation instalation),and the most important one the Buy back. We provide buyback before starting the cultivation to our growers so that they can be ensure at the marketing side.

I dont know where you got the info that horticulture and cash crops are not profitable - they are profitable even in a 5 acre plot.

You may consider using 5-8 acres for cash crops like Pommogranate, Banana etc., depending on location and around 5 acres for horticulture like Mango, Coconut etc., to be planted using Ultra High Density (UDH) so thay yield per acre is much high.

The rest of the land you could still use for harnessing wind power, bio gas etc.
