Hi

I have 10 acres of land in Ghaziabad and I am intrested in planting teak in the land. Some one please guide me on the following question.

1. Is the climate/soil in ghaziabad (Near Delhi) suitable for teak plantation ?

2. How many plants /acre can be planted. How many years are required for harvest?

3. What is the cost of the Tissue culture teak sapplings?

4. What are the other crop which can be growth with teak plan ?

5. How much return I can exptect ?

according to soil.

the growth of plants and the propogation practices it is increased.

Teak plantations

sir,

In UP the teak plantations will be suitable.But black cotton and clay soil are not suitable for teak plantations.Some water will be required for some extent.

kindly avoid intercrop cultivation in teak plantations .Because some disturbances will occured during showing and harvesting the intercrop.

One acre will requires nearly 820 saplings .You can get yield on completion of tenth year onwards.for example you will get some assured income from one ten years old tree will be Rs 10000/-

For price of the saplings and transportation kindly intimate the details that how many acres do you go for plantations?Normally allways we will under take the transportation in our risk.
