Tamarind - PKM-1

I heard, it takes minimum 10 years to get commercial crop from Tamarind ( PKM-1).. is this true? Can anyone cultivating Tamarind ( PKM-1 variety ) provide details on this....

The commercial crop I.e stabilisation of yield will be started on completion of sixth year onwards.But the yield of tamarind(PKM-I) will starts on completion of 3rd year onwards.
