I gathered this was a good a place as any to gather information and perhaps even sell.
To summarize - I work for a company that has a Perlite mining plant and owns roughly 70% of the current Turkish perlite stock. Although their main focus is primarily using perlite as an aggregate in the construction sector I've been exploring alternative means.
I've been looking at the uses of perlite in horticulture and came to the conclusion that it is a potentially profitable market.. I'm thinking of selling perlite in 5/10/20L packets with a corresponding plant-solution so it's possible to grow plant without the need of soil and achieve the nutrition and vitamins via the plant-solution. I'm also looking at exploring larger sales for bigger agricultural companies, as perlite can be used beneath or above soil for its many advantages, particularly in warmer climates.
Could someone please explain who potentially uses perlite in large quantities?
