Neem - Intercrop for Coconut?

Hi

I'm thinking of planting Neem intercrop my Coconut plantation because of severe Eriophyid Mite infection in my palms. Do you have prior exposure to this or information? Is this possible? What are the risks?

Sir, I dont think it will be of much help,because i have lots of neem trees coexisting with coconut in my farm,but still the eriophyid mite is rampant.

Neem

Should not be planted as it will offer stff competetion to coconut. If plantaion is young, Tagetes minuta and basil can be tried as these have the possibility to deter the insects.
