I do not know much; but our traditional methods used to yield 12 tons of rice from one acre. They were using "Kunapajalaa" as fertilizer. There are two ways to extract minerals from organic matters; one is composting and other is rotting. Kunapajalaa id second one; where meat, fishes, insects, bird flesh are rotted and given to crops. (I think dilute it to maximum 5%)

In addition to ponsanthan's suggestions and "Kunapajalaa" suggested above; one may uses "Panchagavya" and apply to crops by soil application as well spray on leaves. This is not traditional practice; recently introduces. (Several recipes available on Internet.)
