Dear members

I am planning to go for teak cultivation ( maximum of 20 - 30 trees )

Distance between each teak tree.
should we cut branches, so that the tree grows straight or can we leave branches ?
after how many years of growth, can the tree be cut ?
what is the returns, we can get after 10 years / tree ?

Grateful to the person who can help me.. ? Thanks

This are the best practices..

  1. Plant to plant and row to row spacing is 15 feet
  2. Go for quality planting material.
  3. Dont purchase seedlings, and dont go for free plants
  4. Prefer Tissue Culture Plants
  5. It will take 20 years plus to cut the tree
  6. Plant girth should be 4feet plus at GBH
  7. After 10 years you wont get
  8. After 20 years plus you may get around Rs.20k per tree
  9. Buyers pay you for tree not in cubic feet
  10. In general you can expect one fifth 1/5 of cubic feet market value
  11. For example if the market price is Rs.2,000/- per cubic feet you can expect Rs.400/- per cubic feet
  12. Buyer assumes the expected cubit feet from a tree and accordingly they quote price
