We have 8 HF crossbreeds. The milk production has gove down by almost 40% since calving, in 4 cows.
They were yielding around 20ltrs/day now same has reduced to 10-12 ltrs after 3 months of milking.
Presently they are fed 10kg Green grass/corn, 3 kg dry paddy fodder and 6kg KMF feed concentrates apart from 60-80ltrs water, 100ml calcium and 1 tbsp of mineral mixtures.

Can you advise me how to get back the herd to some normalcy, understanding it is summer, well shaded and taken care

Hello
You are underfeeding your cows.
You need to feed 2.1% if body weight plus 0.3 kg per litre milk Dry Matter for milk production.

Assuming your cows weigh at least 500 kgs and produce 20 lts milk per day, they will need
(2.1%*500)+(0.3*20) = 17 kg Dry Matter (DM).

I can suggest the following
1. Green fodder - 25 kg (Assuming 30% DM, this will provide 7.5 kg DM)
2. Dry fodder - 3 kg will provide 3 kg DM.
3. Concentrates - 6 kg will provide 6 kg DM.
4. Also feed 2 kg Groundnut cake per day for better milk production and better quality.

Mineral mix about 100 gms per cow per day. Calcium liquid may not be required on regular basis, only 1 week per month should suffice.

Good luck.
