I am planning for a farm project (integrated farming) in 30 acres land in Mayurbhanj dist, Odisha.

Can someone advice me for the following questions:
1. Which profitable plantation shall I do?
2. What will be the approximate cost of the project?
3. How many bore-wells are required and its capacity?
4. What will be other equipment shall I purchase?

Hi victorka,

My understanding of integrated farming is combining crops, animal husbandry, honeybee, fisheries etc. I suggest you to get an overall view and then try to ask specific questions. For ideas and information, take a look at my blog.

Generally, it will cost you Rs.1 Lakh per acre for setting up the farm. This Rs.1 Lakh will be used for fencing, borewells, buying sapling, trenching etc. The number of borewells depends on the amount of water that is planned to be utilized in your farm. The general equipments also depends on the type of crops you choose.
