It is nice to hear your interest. Green small cardamom is mainly growing in Kerala,Tamilnadu, Karnataka.
The popular varities are
Njallani, Palakkodi, Thiruthali, Wonder,White flower etc. Normally cardamom is normally propagated by suckers, because it is is a cross polinated crop. Seeds also used for propagation. But there will be more genetical variability. Ripe fruits can also be used for propagation. Suckers are bulky. so it is too difficult to carry.
