Wanted info if hydrophonic farming is accepted as organic farming? if yes who is the certifying authority.

Hydroponics farming is the method of growing plants, oftentimes on a large scale, by means of less soil or even soil less agriculture. This means that the plants thrive not on soil but is supported by nutrient solution in an irrigated system to make sure that the plants are being sustained sufficiently.
A reason why hydroponics farming is being preferred than the traditional way is that, the procedure allows unseasonal produce to be planted and harvested. Thus this make the produce and the crops available the entire year. Moreover, this offer more flexibility as hydroponics farming requires minimal space fro planting, making the rest of the area available for other plants or may be for other uses.

Hydroponics is not organic...
Hi Guys,
Hydroponics uses nutrient slats for balanced plant diet. Salts are not considered organic even if they are 100% natural since they do not carry or derived from Carbon based material. Thus technically plants grown using these salts will not be called Organic and thus produce cannot be technically organic.
Way around this is if you use compost based or bone meal or aquaponic or fish waste nutrients then Hydroponic can be 100% Organic.
The only problem with these so called organic nutrients is that you cannot measure each element such as N, P, K etc in precise PPM. This precision is a back bone of hydroponics so you are in catch 22 situation. If you want organic then you don't have precision and thus can't assure a proper yield. On the other hand precise growing with assured yield requires salt based nutrients but they can't be organic.
