I am totally new to agriculture..I have shortlisted a 1 and half acre land near bangalore,in TN where I want to grow roses for commercial purpose...
Please tell me how to proceed about..Where to start and what to do..

I would like to know if it is possible to get bank loan to purchase the land..
What are the difficulty I can expect in Rose farming..
When and where should i apply for govt agriculture loans..
What will be the cost to setup 1 acre rose farming..

Kindly advise me in this regard..

Hi Vidya,
According to my knowledge, you cannot get loan to buy land. I have heard that marketing the rose is a problem, at times you will get good price and most of the times you will not be able to realize good price. Apart from that, the rose crop is sensitive to climate and soil condition. Hope you would know about it.
As you are starting in the small scale, you could consider green house farming. Which helps you achieve high quality and yield.
