Tulasi (Basil- Osmium Sanctum) the king of Herbals ,having multiple applications.In the recent past Tulasi tea is becoming popular.
Fortunately, Tulasi could be cultivated in a systematic way. But a huge quantity of Tualsi is being collected from wild. Among various locations, Nilakkottai ,located in Dindigul district ,Tamilnadu is a hub for production of Thulasi. Mostly such cultivated Tulasi is marketed for Temple requirements
A little effort of TACED ,since 2013 has provided a desirable result for supplying to Herbal industry..
TACED is contemplating to promote Nilakkottai Tulasi Hub for export / Herbal industry. To analyse the present status and to take up to the next level TACED has constituted a consultative of committee representing the following members
