Under present conditions of water and labor scarcity it will not be feasible to buy fodder. Pl. make your own arrangement to grow fodder . Otherwise dont touch Dairy farming.

dairy farming

Yes Sir,. What you have said is 100% correct. Do not start dairy farm without fooder cultivation from you farm. Otherwise you will end with -ve growth.

develop local farmers

Dear sir,

we feel both purchaser and buyer donot have the practical problems of handling green fodder , especially the grown up maize green fodder transporting for such distance......transport........no...no...no..

to do the silage....1)moisture of green fodder is very important...more than that 2)it has to be stack properly before chopping to avoid any heat generation and rottening of the same(if it covered under tarpaulin or open in vehicle ,within 8 hours the rottening process starts..no doubt).and finally
..3) it should not come to contact of water/rain.

hope, both are understanding the intricase of transporting the green fodder.

yes, to-day u can't self dependent for green fodder availability for various reasons. For that u can arrange meeting of local good farmers who are interested/initiate them to grow on mutual understanding basis. u can , present them how it will be mutually benefitted to both by fixing the win win rate for the same. again, we should select the fodder growing farmers, only within the radius of 50 kms to your dairy farm only....and the cost of same shall be work out within Rs2.50 - 3.00/kg including all costs.

all the best ,

kasturiraju.
