Dear murthy,
50 acres is a gold mine you are holding in your hand. it is fairly good idea to look for a financial partner. The following points needs to be considered.Any financial partner looks at safety of funds and hence would like you to offer security of land may be by mortgage. If he is a sleeping partner no additional advantage and he will act like a bank.
Each acre of banana cultivation itself costs about 80,000/- hence a 50 acre plan all together will total up to 75 lakhs.If you dont plan for most of the land it is losing benefit of economies of scale. Yes this project needs your full time attention.
may be it is better you plan to take bank finance which will be cheaper compared to private investment who would look for at least 35 % as partner and security of land is a fund for his comfort. Also I advise you to look for a horticulturist/project consultant so that you are safe.
