Hello,
To size the farm pond pump, you need two information;
A)Required water per minute or per hour that is to be supplied to your drip lines
B)Total head support required from the pump incl horizontal, vertical & drip pressure head.
Once you have this information, let us say that your drip guy says that "35m" head is required for motor & you conclude that water requirement is "5 LPS", then you need to check the pump manufacturer's performance data and select a pump that can offer "5 or more LPS" at "35m" head.
