Hello everyone.
I want to set up a dairy farm and i dont know from where i can purchase holstein cows in north india and whether they are suitable for my state as few months are much colder here. And lastly the price per cow.

Congrass for your idea - White Milk is another crude Oil in India - There is so much of demand for milk as the new borns (kids) in India mostly depend on Cow Milk instead of Mother Milk.


Dairy is most profitable project only if you market the milk directly to the end users. It is a serious business not jock playing with Live animals.

You need minimum one acr to maintain atleast 5 animals to feed your own. If you buy the entire feed from outside on cash, it will eat the entire profit. make an gentle man agreement with the government vet. doctor who is visiting your area for other farmer's land to visit your dairy, it will minimise your medical bill. Avoid any harmon injection to the cows.

You have to take extra care on the animals then the care you have on your children.
