Interested in small scale dairy farming in kerala starting with 10 cows.
i have read a few blogs here in discussion forum but yet to get what iam looking for.
My query is that.
1.) what are the encouraging factors which we can get from state/central government side for establishing a new dairy farm with regards to the finance/loans/subsidies ...etc.
2.) What are the formalities to follow for getting help from state/central government and where can i get them.
3.) what are the steps which i need to take in setting up a good dairy farm to accomodate 10 cows at start and then upgrading it in coming years.
4.) Does anyone have a blue print of small scale farm setup which could help me out.
5.) Which is the best breed of cows having high yield, low cost of breeding/production and other factors available in kerala or any other parts of india.
6.) what will be the initial expenditure for this setup and their breakups ....cost of production ..etc.
7.) What all Factors to keep in mind while buying a cow, if the breed is good, how to check lactation details provided by seller is correct or not, milking output and other features.
8.) Podder requirements, dry feeds, water ..etc
