coconut plantation

you have not specified about the cropping pattern of the area. Coconut plantation is suggestable, if you have irrigation facilities. The crop will fetch monthly income 4 years after platation. You may adopt intercropping like Banana, Cocoa, Pulses, Turmeric, Yam etc. to get additional income. Crop requires intercultivation, irrigations and compost/Farm Yard Manure. If the soils are rich in nutrients, don's use chemical fertilizers. You will get nursery plants from any nearby nursery units or research stations.

Please go ahead. best of luck.

Plan it

Hello sir,

Get a chance to go around your the village near you farm and understand the traditional method of what grows there, again you can go in for cash crops or any other agriculture output only if you decided to frequenty visit the place and have a family for good inside to take care of your place. If its just for investment, then you can either go in for a forestry project filled with various timber producing trees, or you can for in for fruit bearing trees just as mango which is just once in a year yeild and as you don't want to spend much time in your farm.

However if you are very passionate about farming, then do a intergrated farming, get variety of animals inside and get some fruit bearing trees do some cash crops and so on.

It totally depends on the moeny and time you want to spend in your farm.

All the best!
