Respected brothers ,
please help me find out which port is good to import the cashew nuts in tamil nadu and where i can find the processing units. coz i am going to import only raw cashews from abroad, and it is only with shell
i mean the cashew is with shell , so i need to find out where we can remove shell , by processing it
pls guide me int this regard

Dear sir,
you can import the cashews at chennai this is the nearest import port and as for as processing is concerned is done in Goa,Karwar of karnataka and coastal dist of maharashtra.

There are lot processing units in Kerala and Karnatka along the coast.
Kochi,Karwar or Mangalore are the ports nearer.

By the way is it cheap if you import? Explore Kasargod,Udupi and Manglore districts you will get rock bottom prices. Check economics then you can decide.

In Karnataka Bolas (Bola surendra Kamath & Sons) is one of the famous cashew manufacturers and exporters. They are also into coffee, palm oil and dry fruits manufacturing.
