Almost all of the plants grown in pots in my house suffers from this desease, even though only some plants get affected seriously. Leaves become wringled and twisted, size of the leaves also get reduced. Slowly the leaves become brown in color, and dry themselves to death. Is this a fungal infection? The white color you see is a pest, and that is not the one that is causing te problem. With this pest or without, leaves warp and wringle and then die. Please check the pictre of tomato leaf below.

The white bugs are mealy bugs.
This is a problem in most plants now a days . you can control these pests with a pestiside spray of Monocrotophos and Acephate.

Get the dosage from your pesticide dealer.

Also a dose of neem oil spray after the pests are out will help you to keep the pests from reappearing.

Pest
