Buying HF Cows in kaveripatinam

Gentlemen,

I am planning to go to Kaveripatinam near krishnagiri as per some of the older posts mention to buy some HF cows.

I would greatly appreciate any information regarding which days the market is open, where is it located( I am travelling from bangalore) and any contacts you might have in kaveripatinam who could help me in buying some HF cows. I am looking at about 5 cows.

Buying HF Cows around Bangalore

Dear Dayanand,
I am Commander Rao from Yelahanka,Bangalore and have been operating a small dairy farm for the last 6 months. Earlier on,from Doddaballapur side,I bought 3 HFs in the range of Rs 40-45,000 with a peak yield of about 18 ltrs/day .This is valid for a few weeks only and after a month or so, the yield falls off to about 15Lts/day and comes down to about 10 ltrs/day in about 4 months.No body tells us the yield in a lactation-cycle , before we make the purchase-though this number is vital for the dairy farmer and no body monitors this! Let me know your experiences from Kaveripattinam.I am also interested in buying one or two HF/Jerseys. Thanks[/email].
