Buying agricultural land

My father is from agriculture family & my Wife also (mother in law still holds land)
my father now is retired from LIC and holds an old RTC on his name
his income is less than 2lakhs, can he buy an Agriculture land in karnataka?

My situation was also very similar to yours, I could buy the land with the help of local people.

The RTC needs to be a current one (at least 2 weeks old ) before you go to get your newly purchased Agriculyural alnd for Registration at the Sub Registrar
