Dear all...

I 've just joined this forum which I think is very useful for all the people/entrepreneurs who ve keen interest in acquiring knowledge and consultancies in agriculture based products and services.

I like to start and set up a Biomass Based Power Plant of 100/200 KW capacity, using preferably rice husk. Can anyone guide me about its techno-commercial feasibility and into which location the plant can be set up around Delhi (say Hariyana/Western UP et cetra) w.r.t. availability of the bio-fuel (rice husk). How much area of land, capital (equity) investment and man power would be needed for setting up a 100KW plant.

I would be thankful if members having experience in this area share their valuable knowledge with me and provide me a brief project report in this regard.

Many Thanks !!!

Hi

Orissa government is likely to get 20 MW of power from the rice husk based power plant set up by Shali Vahana Green Energy Ltd at Nimidha village in Dhenkanal by July 2010.

Orissa Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with eight developers for bio-mass based power projects with aggregate production capacity of 90 MW.

Please write to them you may get your queries answered.
