Kalmeg plant can be grown for the current monsoon rain as a main crop or intercrop in mango gardens and coconut gardens, it can be harvested after 4 months when started flowering. the upper part can be harvested to allow the plant to grow again so that another harvest can be made from it. market price for the herb is ruling between 30 - 40 rupees per kg dried herb, the leaves are very bitter and used in several medicines. interested growers get seeds from available sources and grow it.
