Aloe vera latex crystals (Musamber)

Musamber is the dried brown latex of aloe. The aloe skin contains yellowish latex which on drying become brownish. Anthroquinone rich dried aloe vera with out skin is called musamber. when the aloe gel with yellow juice is kept in the earth pot the anthroquinone crystals formed. which costs around Rs 300/ kg at present. It is toxic and used for some specific preparations. Depending upon the processing the anthroquinone content varies, accordingly the price of the material will be fixed.
