central salt marine research centre , Bhavanagar, Mandabam algal reserch centre tamil nadu are government of india algal research stations. you can get all informations from them. Spirulina cultivation is being carried at pondicherry and Tamil Nadu.Gelidium, Gelidiella, Ulva, are important algae. Sargassum is a common marine algae used for by some industry.
