Hello,

We are looking for insights into cultivating the akarkara in AP. Can someone answer following questions.

What kind of soil is required for this crop?
Are there any cultivators in AP for a site visit?
Are there any buy back providers for this crop?
What would be the duration of this crop?

Appreciate your responses.

Hi

As we are leading and introducing promoter of Akakrkara from North India, we can provide you complete guidance for it's cultivation. Though sandy soils are best for Akarkara cultivation but it can be grown on variety of soils including heavy textured soils also as the root canopy is small and roots do not need to penetrate longer into the soil. As of now, we do not have any running cultivation in AP. We buyback all finally produced dried roots through a registered buyback agreement. Total duration of the crop is about 6 months or at the most 7 months.

For more details about the crop and our services, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks and best regards

Actually all kinds of soil is suitable. preferrably red sandy soil. You will get the flower and seeds as well. Along with selling roots , you can sell seeds as well. There could be some company who can buy while plant or just dry stem. Akarkar plant would be 2-2 1/2 fet tree. There are many ways to cultivate. Some people just broad cost the seeds. Once small plans are grown in bunch, you can remove them and put it in the gaps.Fiber content is main important. Some people make the plans in nursary trays. Temp. should range between 15-25degrees.
